Restorative

• Tooth Colored Crowns And Fillings

If you want a smile that’s your crowning glory, you may need a crown to cover a tooth and restore it to its normal shape and size. A crown can make your tooth stronger and improve its appearance.

A dental crown is needed when a tooth is badly broken down - either a cusp has broken off or the tooth has large old fillings or a large portion of decay. A filling is used to fill a small portion of the tooth - a crown when the tooth has extensive damage.

Tooth colored fillings are made from durable plastics called composite resins. Similar in color and texture to natural teeth, the fillings are less noticeable, and much more attractive, than other types of fillings.

• Fixed Bridges

The principal technique we use to achieve natural looking bridge work is the ovate pontic. This is a technical term for a method of creating the illusion that the tooth is growing out of your gum. When an ovate pontic is used as part of a bridge, the site where the false tooth is placed is sculpted with an electro surgical device prior to placing it. This creates the illusion that the tooth is growing up from the ridge.

Removable

• Full Dentures

Properly made, full dentures are comfortable and enhance the smile, as well as promoting good nutrition and health. Certainly the
recommendation of full dentures is a last resort, but it is indicated when disease or neglect
renders treatment of natural teeth impossible.

• Partial Dentures

The partial denture is a solution when one or more teeth need to be replaced. The partial denture can be anchored to remaining teeth, thus improving function and preventing drifting and other movement of teeth.

Implants

Dental Implants are biocompatible substitutes for lost natural teeth. They are devices for attaching artificial replacement teeth firmly to the bone. Implants can be used to support a single crown or as anchors for fixed bridges. Implants function and look like natural teeth and provide a good solution to patients with a missing tooth or teeth.

TMJ Treatments

Treatment for this problem which causes jaw discomfort or pain in the joint is varied, depending on the source of the problem. Possible solutions range from mediation to the use of splints or, in extreme cases, surgery.
